CON'S
- Their weight and huge feed mean that they get horribly messy paddocks in the winter and therefore have little grass to eat.
- Farrier problems-may not have proper sized horseshoes which doesn't help on farms.
- Larger feed bills.
- Hard to groom because they are very tall and big. -
PRO'S
- They are extremely powerful, the original tractor and although they're becoming rarer on working farms
- Good weather where they live(Belgium)
- Their exceptionally docile nature makes them easy to handle despite their size. She sees them as a person-oriented horse. Most seem to love communicating well with their owner.
- Their rarity in this country. We believes their intrinsic worth makes them worth preserving and developing in Australia.
